The LONGINES Grand Prix over 1.60 metres was won by Kim Emmen. The Dutch rider has thus secured her first ever Grand Prix victory. “I’m naturally very happy – my first Grand Prix victory, that’s something very special”, said Emmen after her success. This brings the second day of competition in Basel to a close with three victories by female riders.
The best-placed Swiss rider was Steve Guerdat, who finished ninth on Lancelotta. Martin Fuchs took 14th place on L&L Lorde and expressed optimism about their progress: “I’m very pleased with the progress we’re making together. We’re not far off now, the results we’re hoping for will follow”. Looking ahead, he added: “I’m looking forward to the World Cup on Sunday”.
